Abstract

Rumelian-homeland Turkish migration, which took place in a line extending from the Ottoman period of losing Rumelia, has an important place in the history of migration, whose history dates back to the beginning of human history. Rumelian immigration, where the factors such as the difficulty of leaving a geography which has close to five centuries of Turkish soil, the disastrous experiences during the migration, the difficult adaptation process which is the fate of each immigrant, brought a dramatic and tragic content to the Turkish literature. Attempts to reach people by touching the lives affected by migration have ultimately created a literature on migration from Rumelia to the homeland. İsmail Gümüş participates in this field with his stories which are the main theme of Rumelia migration. The main factors that placed the author in a prominent place in Turkish literature on migration are: to present immigration in a sincere and intense context, writing assimilated with the identities of teachers, painters and sculptors.
