ABSTRACT
A nation’s ability to manufacture sophisticated goods is crucial to its ability to compete on global markets. Sophisticated products, which can be defined as products where knowledge comes to the fore in the production process, also form the basis for the concept of economic complexity. In the last 20 years, industrial good production—which has been evolving since the First Industrial Revolution and continues to this day—has gained prominence due to its qualities rather than its quantity. The technological structures of the products produced have a significant impact on export volumes and determine a country’s place in the global market. The significance of this idea is increased by the fact that a product’s level of sophistication plays such a significant role in international trade. This study is based on a survey of the literature and attempts to provide light on how Türkiye’s exports are affected by complex items, or “high-tech products,” whose manufacture heavily relies on technology and information. Türkiye’s exports could rise due to the manufacturing of sophisticated items, particularly in the defense industry, according to the study done for this reason. Additionally, research has demonstrated that a nation’s ability to improve its export volume and profitability from exports generally increases with the amount of money it invests in and produces in technology. These significant topics are covered in this research article.
