ABSTRACT

Hotel workers are playing an important role in hotel enterprise’s success. The decisions that workers have just taken into consideration in different periods could affect the future of the enterprises. From this point, this work aims to state the precautions of hotel enterprises managers in the crisis periods. The sample population of this study is based on data gathered from the department supervisors of five stars hotel in İstanbul. The survey data was gathered via a questionnaire and analyzed through the SPSS programme.

According to the data evaluation, it is found that age and education profile of hotel enterprise managers have no control over the crisis management. It is also determined that 40 % of hotel managers point out that the economical crisis and terror have been seen as the most effective crisis type, and they take action to be affected from these type of crisis at minimum level. It is also found that many managers work out to monitore costumers’ views, expects and complains.
