ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the predictor on the school burnout of motivational persistence in emerging adulthood. The research was carried out on 487 students who continue their education at Erzurum Atatürk University in 2015-2016 years. In order to collect data Motivational Persistence Scale, Maslach Burnout Inventory- Student Form and Personal Information Form prepared by the researchers was used. On data analyses, Pearson correlation and structural equation modeling analysis techniques were used. As a result of the study, it was determined that there are significant and negative relations between motivational persistence and school burnout. Motivational persistence had significant effects on the burnout, depersonalisation and competence dimension through the latent variable of school burnout. In addition, it was determined that motivational persistence is a significant predictor of school burnout.
