ABSTRACT
This study investigates the implementations of preparation against crises, precautionary steps and crisis management of tourism enterprises and analyses of the concepts of crisis and crisis management. The empirical part of the study examines the perceptions of crisis, preparations against crisis and precautionary steps, implementations of crisis management and crisis experiences of the accommodation enterprises of Bozcaada. The crisis period, encompassing the
Islamic festive season, was scrutinized through direct observation of the accommodation enterprises of Bozcaada with the scale produced with reference to the relevant literature. The study aims to measure the sensibility of the accommodation enterprises of Bozcaada towards crisis as well as to reveal the particular crises which were experienced due to the particular conditions of the Island and the strategies which were applied under these kinds of circumstances.
