ABSTRACT

City is a theme that has been used in Turkish literature for a long period. In this context; specific culture centers such as Konya, Bursa, Erzurum, Ankara, and especially İstanbul were often held and used in our literature. And Edirne -as one of the important culture centers of our country-, interested some of our poets as other cities did, and was used in our literature within some levels. Some of these poets are Uluğ Turanlıoğlu, Mustafa Yıldırım, Ahmet Kutsi Tecer, and Arif Nihat Asya. In this article, only the poems about Edirne written by Ahmet Kutsi Tecer and Arif Nihat Asya were held and examined; and their ideas about Edirne were tried to be presented as a result of this examination.
