ABSTRACT

In this study, right hand techniques which has a very important role in guitar playing techniques and the todays aspects of these techniques are examined.The guitar enstrument has an extensive history as is has a wide family. Forming with history, era, local cultures and specialities, these enstrumants showed many structural varieties. Due to that variety, many variants occured like, width of the soundboard, number of strings, width of the fingerboard, string variations, string distances, string lengths, fret numbers and distances. These variants caused new techniques to come up for every enstrument. The historical sources of the enstrument shows wide substance with the meeting of schools of performances of guitar and techniques. The aim to that study is to lighten the point world came today on right hand techniques as a result of these sources
