Abstract
The aim of the study is to examine the views of preschool teachers on the science education process. The study was carried out according to the basic qualitative research design, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The study group for the research consists of 21 preschool teachers who were determined using the easily accessible sampling method, worked in preschool education institutions, and volunteered to participate in the study. As a data collection tool, an interview form, which was developed within the scope of the research and finalized with expert opinion, was used. As a result of the research, it was determined that preschool teachers felt themselves sufficient in science content knowledge and insufficient in the knowledge-application process. It is seen that teachers need upport for the science education process, and their knowledge of science content standards and STEM approach is insufficient and wrong. It is seen that the teachers mostly give place to the subjects related to the earth and space area and living space in the science education process and they do demonstration experiments the most. It has been observed that teachers ave problems with materials and application environment as well as insufficient family participation. Also, teachers stated that they plan above the level of the children as a problem.
