Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to determine the importance of the criteria to be considered in the new product development process. For this purpose, surveys were conducted in 141 enterprises that have developed at least one new product before. 378 surveys were conducted with officials in product development, sales and marketing departments. Using the obtained data, the Analytical Hierarchy Process method has been utilized the importance of the criteria to be considered in the new product development process. As a result of the study, respectively, Production Cost, Wastage Quantity and Product Reliability criteria have been identified as the most important criteria for new product development. In the comprehensive literature review, there was no other study has been determined on prioritizing the criteria that should be considered in the new product development process as it is in this study.
