Abstract

Performance appraisal is the process of determining the performance of employee on the job. Most common uses of performance appraisals are to make the administrative decions relating to wage management, career management, layoffs, and strategic planning. Performance appraisal information can provide required input to determine both individual and organizational training and development needs.
