Abstract

Organizations that serve in an environment where there are changes in globalization and information and communication technologies have begun to attach importance to personnel empowerment and organizational commitment in order to overcome competition, increase quality of their service, and adapt to changing environmental conditions. In this context, the main purpose of the research is to determine the distinctive effects of personnel empowerment and its dimensions in food and beverage enterprises on the organizational commitment of the workers. In order to realize the purpose of the research; The theoretical framework of the research was established by firstly searching the comprehensive literature on personnel empowerment and organizational commitment. Later on in the survey, information was obtained by survey method on 400 occupations serving in the first class restaurants, which are operated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the province of Istanbul. Explanatory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis were applied to the scales used in the questionnaire. Correlation and regression analysis were used to test the models / hypotheses among the dimensions / factors obtained by factor analysis.
