Abstract
In Turkey the Education Faculties have witnessed many developments so far.Despite these developments there are still some points to be considered. In thiscontext this article displays the needs, expectations and abilities of the students inFaculty of Education, Trakya University. The article aims to give the student profilesof Trakya University, Faculty of Education, after describing the developments in theEducation Faculties in Turkey. The data was collected via a questionnaireadministered to 212 students. The findings were analyzed using SPSS 14.0 and theresults were interpreted. We found a statistically significant difference betweendepartments with regards ‘curriculum’, ‘lectures’, ‘classroom materials’ and ‘Tests’.We also found that student’s expectations were significantly higher than their currentsituation appraisals.
