ABSTRACT
Rodoscuk, growing as a port city from mid-XV Century, was sheltering a big mass for hosting a resident population and traders that come to the city for certain periods of time. The issue of water supply was one of the most important needs of this dynamic city and various foundations were caring finically about the solution of this problem with the efforts of both local people and Ottoman statesmen and ulema. They brought the city firstly aqueducts and fountains, wells, shadirvans, hammams that made the water usage possible. In time correspondingly with increasing needs, waterworks and structures increased quantitatively and countinued to satisfy the need for water by gaining new forms.
