Abstract

When we look at the history, it is seen that the settlements in the West of the Turks are Balkan geography. The Turkish settlement in the Balkan geography is also ancient from the Anatolian geography. The Turks came to this region with the Hun invasions in 380 AD, and then they increased the Turkish population in the region with the influx of Bulgarians, Pechenegs, Uzlar, Kipchaks. However, the period in which the influence of the Turkish influence in the region was most intensified was due to the spread of the Ottoman State in the Balkans. The Ottoman Empire settled Turkish tribes and families from Anatolia in the Balkan region with a settlement policy, and strengthened Turkish presence. Thus, Turkish became an important language in Balkan geography and maintained its existence for centuries by giving words to the local Balkan languages. Beginning of the withdrawal of the Ottomans from Balkan geography has been the beginning of the difficult times for the Turks in this geography. The oppression of the new Balkan states that have been established have caused much torment, too much loss, and the Turks have been forced to migrate. After these experiments, the people living in the Balkans have gradually moved away from the Turkish culture, but despite the negativities, Turkish language still lives in these lands today is an indication that Turkish identity is not lost. Changes in social structure and culture are reflected in language. From this point of view, Turkish was influenced by negativity in terms of language features and vocabulary, but not destroyed. The word presence is of special importance for Turkish in this geography. Certain regions have been studied in this subject up to now, and regions have not been considered collectively. In order to make up for this shortage, the word treasures in the Western Thrace, North Thrace and Eastern Thrace Turkish dialects of the Thrace region of the Balkans, which are the indispensable geographies of the South Western Turks, are now being compiled and merged into books.
